  • What kind of licensing does RC Home Improvements have?

RC Home Improvements has a Building D-1 Exterior license by Pikes Peak Regional Building.  This includes roofing, siding, stucco, and all exterior replacements.  You can go to the pikes peak website (www.pprbd.org) and search by contractor to verify at any time.

  • Why would I want a contractor that does many trades?

Much like a general contractor, we provide you one point of contact to handle the entire restoration process of your project.  This takes away the headaches of scheduling, holding several different people accountable, researching different companies, and coordinating different matching materials.  You will have a production mananger who you are familiar with, ensuring quality and smoothness of your project to get everything done on our punch lists.  If you have an insurance claim on your house, we know that hail doesn't just hit the roof. You will need not just a roofer, but a contractor capable of repairing siding, replacing windows, refinishing decks and the like!

  • How long have you been in business?

RC Home Improvements started as just a Colorado Springs painting company in 2007.  We have grown, not just in our employee size but also in our knowledge and education.  Our motto is "We're Always Improving", so we invested in our eduction and skills to grow our Home Improvement company into the many trades we can offer our community today.  (By the way, did you catch the pun in our company motto? • What types of materials do you use?

Since we warranty our work we will always recommend the best materials.  For Roofing we have Class 4 High Impact Asphalt Shingle options by Atlas or Boral Tile.  For Painting we prefer to use Sherwin Williams products.

For stucco we like Total Wall solutions or La Habra if it is available. For siding we prefer James Hardie Board, but we will always listen to our customers to the material of your choice and we offer matching to your existing home when we are just doing repairs.    Even so, we can install any material of your choice.  Keep in mind, If we install materials that you provide as the homeowner we cannot put the project on our warranty.

  • What warranty do you have?

  • Can you handle my entire insurance claim?

Yes, in most cases!  RC Home Improvements is not licensed for plumbing or electrical and we would recommend you hiring a licensed contractor for any repairs for those trades.  However for most exterior repairs, we are not only skilled and licensed for roofing, stucco, siding, painting, and window and door replacements, but we are also very knowledgable about hail and wind damage claims.  We are happy to sit down with you to review your insurance paperwork, line item by line item and explain any questions you may have.  We can walk you through what your adjuster applied coverage to and help you identify if he or she missed anything in the claim.  We can discuss your deductible, ACV vs RCV, what R&R means and remove the mystery from the paperwork.
